The Lakeside QRU is once again humbled by the success of its 5th annual Ham dinner fund raiser held on Sunday, June 4, 2017. As our community grows and is seasonally influenced by thousands of more people, the demand for emergency medical response and ambulance transport services also increases. We are fortunate to have the unwavering support of this community, providing us with the personnel and financial means needed to allow us to continue serving our community.
Vista Linda Catering, Tamarack Brewing Co, Pepsi and Cola-Cola combined their talents and products to provide an outstanding dinner to 282 individuals who purchased meals in support of this fundraising event.
Additional donations received from local businesses and individuals resulted in a high quality raffle delighting lucky raffle winners. And topping off the financial success of the event, were the numerous community members that could not attend the event, but mailed in donations in lieu of their attendance.
And if all this wasn’t enough, another two dozen individuals volunteered their time to ensure the event’s activities ran smoothly.
We could not continue to answer the call for aid without the support of the community. We know businesses and individuals have many choices when it comes to donating to worthy causes and we thank the community for once again trusting in us so that together we can continue to serve our neighbors in need.
