Round Up For Saftey Grant $3,000
For 36 years the volunteers of the Lakeside QRU have had the privilege of responding to the emergency medical needs of our community. The ability to deliver high quality emergency medical service is dependent on knowledgeable personnel in conjunction with up to date equipment. The 2017 Roundup for Safety grant in the amount of $3,000 allowed us to purchase a Lucas CPR chest compression device.
Consistent chest compressions are vital in a cardiac arrest emergency and this tool will assist our emergency medical responders deliver aid to patients where oxygen and blood flow objectives are the highest priority.
The Lakeside QRU is dispatched approximately 350 times each year, serving a geographic area from Rollins to South Kalispell. In the first six months of 2017 we have experienced over a 25% increase in call volume compared to 2016. We are fortunate to have the personnel as well as the equipment, such as the Lucas CPR chest compression device, to answer the calls for help.
We could not do it without the financial support provided by the Roundup for Safety program. Thank you for choosing the Lakeside QRU for trusting in us so that together we can continue to serve our community.
